About Jason Harbin — Artist, Survivor, Founder of Underdog Entertainment

Jason Harbin is a two‑time cancer survivor, lifelong creator, and professional recording artist with more than 30 years of experience in music, performance, and storytelling. Born in Washington, DC and raised across the DMV, Jason grew up with the heart of an athlete, the mind of a technician, and the soul of a songwriter — a combination that shaped his entire journey.

At 30 years old, Jason faced his first battle with cancer. Through months of radiation treatments, he fought his way back with the same determination he brought to sports, music, and every challenge he had ever met. Fifteen years later, at 45, cancer returned. This time, the fight required chemotherapy — and once again, he refused to break. He survived. Twice.

Those experiences didn’t just change his life; they sharpened his purpose. Jason realized that if he was still here, he was here for a reason. That reason was music — not just creating it, but using it to inspire, uplift, and give back.

For over three decades, Jason has been writing, recording, performing, and producing music across multiple genres. His sound blends rock, hip hop, country, cinematic elements, and modern production, but the core has always been the same: resilience, truth, and empowerment. His voice carries the weight of someone who has lived through the fire and came out stronger.

That mission led him to create Underdog Entertainment, a label built on survival, purpose, and heart. Under this banner, Jason releases his own music alongside two powerhouse artist projects — Black Rose and Riverstone — each representing a different side of his creativity. Black Rose brings high‑energy, cinematic rock, while Riverstone delivers heartfelt country storytelling rooted in real life.

But Underdog Entertainment is more than music. It’s a promise.

Jason donates one‑third of every dollar earned to the American Cancer Society, honoring the science, support, and people who helped save his life. Every download, every stream, every piece of merch becomes part of a larger mission: to help others fight the same battle he survived twice.

Today, Jason stands as a creator who refuses to quit, an artist with something real to say, and a survivor turning his story into sound. His journey is proof that underdogs don’t just survive — they rise.

This is music with purpose. This is survival turned into art. This is Jason Harbin.
